How long has Korr Floors been installing flooring?

Korr Floors has been installing flooring across Indianapolis and Central Indiana since 2015 — more than 11 years of hands-on trade experience behind every project.

Is Korr Floors licensed and insured?

Yes, Korr Floors is fully licensed and insured. Documentation is available on request during your free estimate.

Do you subcontract the installation work?

All of our installation work, except carpet, is completed by Korr Floors' own team — never outside subcontractors. Carpet installation is handled by a trusted specialty partner.

What makes Korr Floors different from larger flooring companies or franchises?

We're locally owned, not a franchise — no corporate scripts, no inflated showroom markup. Every decision about your project is made by people who live and work in this community.

Getting an Estimate

Is the in-home estimate really free?

Yes — there's no cost and no obligation to book an estimate. It's how we assess your subfloor and space to give you an accurate number, not a phone-quote guess.

How quickly can you schedule an estimate?

Most in-home estimates are scheduled within a few business days of reaching out, depending on the season — spring and summer tend to book up faster.

What should I have ready before my estimate visit?

Just your rough timeline and budget range in mind — we'll handle the measuring and material guidance. If you already have a material in mind, feel free to have samples or links ready.

Do you serve areas outside Indianapolis?

Yes, we serve Indianapolis and more than 40 surrounding communities across Central Indiana. Check our service areas page for the full list, or ask us directly if you don't see your city.

Pricing

How much does flooring installation cost?

Most LVP and laminate installs run $3–8 per square foot including labor; hardwood and tile run higher, typically $7–15 per square foot depending on material grade and layout complexity. A free in-home estimate gives you an exact number.

Is subfloor prep included in my flooring estimate, or billed separately?

It's assessed and quoted as part of your free estimate for any flooring project, so there are no surprise line items once work begins.

Does pricing change based on my location?

Material and labor pricing stays consistent across our service area — your specific project scope, not your city, is what determines cost.

Installation Process

How long does flooring installation take?

Most single-room installations take 1–2 days; whole-home projects usually run 3–7 days depending on square footage and whether subfloor repairs are needed.

Do I need to move my furniture before installation?

We ask homeowners to clear small items and breakables, but our team handles moving larger furniture out of and back into the work area as part of the installation.

Can you install new flooring over my existing floor?

In many cases, yes, provided the existing floor is flat, stable, and in good condition — we evaluate this during your free in-home estimate rather than guessing over the phone.

What happens if you find a subfloor problem during installation?

We pause and talk it through with you before moving forward — you'll always know what's needed and what it costs before we proceed, not after.

Materials

What's the difference between LVP and laminate flooring?

LVP is 100% waterproof and better suited for kitchens, bathrooms, and basements, while laminate offers a similar hardwood look at a lower cost but isn't recommended for moisture-prone areas.

Can all hardwood floors be refinished instead of replaced?

Solid hardwood can typically be refinished multiple times. Engineered hardwood has a thinner wear layer and can usually only be refinished once or twice — we'll assess this during your estimate.

How do I maintain grout so it doesn't stain?

Sealing grout after installation and periodically thereafter (roughly once a year in wet areas) is the biggest factor in keeping it stain-resistant and easy to clean.

Do you install matching stair nosing with new flooring?

Yes — stair installation is one of our core services, and we match treads, risers, and nosing to whatever flooring leads into them for a finished, intentional look.
